This last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited to a group collaboration in Simsbury, CT where some creative people in the area met up for a photoshoot. Kelly, who runs Root and Vine Botanicals, set up this photoshoot with her friend Brewse at his beautiful home. Brewse has an incredible home equip with a barn full of beautiful natural wood slabs that he uses for his woodworking business, Summit Atelier.
We used Brewse's home to set the scene for these vintage wedding looks with an Americana feel. Kelly brought her vintage jewelry, dresses, and floral arrangements to adorn the models with, which was really cool to see each piece that got added complete this look.
Finding creative people who share the same style and interest in details makes collaborating much more interesting and fun to shoot. Kelly provided all these white dishes, silverware, cups, and the cake. I had fun arranging the dinnerware and decorating the flowers around the table to create an organic and clean dinner table set up. Kelly and I have some plans for a food photo shoot in the near future and I can't wait to show you what table we get to decorate next!
